Assembler Package Units-2nd shift

Will train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training is completed.  

Starting rate is $28.51/hour our plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Complete assembly of complex standard products where procedures and methods are prescribed, involving tubing layout and application to package, bending or sawing pipe as needed to support Assembly
  • Mounting motors onto packages
  • Use of all power and hand tools and other measuring devices to assure accurate fitting and alignment of parts to meet specifications on blueprints/drawings and pass identified test requirements Sets-up and level unit bases using laser level
  • Installs perimeter angles, Reconnects, INT, EXT, Wall, roofs, and roof trim with minor supervision
  • Performs good finish caulking, and knowledge of construction manual of what to caulk and when it applies
  • Verifies correct components installed in units
  • Looks up drawings on Shop Floor Viewer as needed
  • Can find work instructions, and operating instructions from MMIB manual when required
  • Detect unusual conditions and defects in material/parts and report to supervision
  • Prep packages to ship by applying tags to units to identify equipment and devices
  • Read and follow blueprints/drawings
  • Perform necessary material handling associated with job
  • Maintain and record labor, production records in relation to time, quality, quantity, and other records
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards
  • May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem-solving exercises
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s

Required Qualification: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds
  • This position requires a significant amount of walking; bending; standing and sitting for extended periods of time
