What You Will Do
You will be responsible for developing comprehensive application solutions and estimates for strategic, complex, and alliance account opportunities, with a focus on supporting our State and Government sales organization. This includes providing technical and sales support for large-scale and integrated electronic security systems.
How You Will Do It
Security System Design & Planning
Collaborate with Sales Executives, Engineers, and Project Managers to understand customer needs and design integrated electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
Develop and deliver detailed and accurate system design specifications, proposals, and bills of materials (BOM).
Utilize security system design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and manufacturer-specific platforms to create professional design documentation.
Solution Architecture & Strategic Engagement
Provide complex hardware and software security solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Create project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
Conduct consultative sessions, analyze technical/process data, and design scalable security architectures.
Assist in scope development, quote generation, and functional specifications.
Compliance & Industry Standards
Maintain current knowledge of industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA, NEC), compliance requirements, and evolving product capabilities.
Review bid specifications and develop exception documentation.
Complete submittal requirements for RFPs and scopes of work.
Innovation & Product Leadership
Lead initiatives for new product rollouts and serve as a liaison with major manufacturers.
Develop custom security solutions and internal documentation.
Engage in continuous learning and beta testing of emerging technologies.
Implementation & Support
Provide technical and software design support during system startup.
Ensure proper understanding and implementation of system intent by field teams.
Support installed systems with hardware/software updates and customer service.
Assist with product demonstrations, industry shows, and exhibitions.
What We Look For
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years in designing, pricing, and implementing integrated security systems.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in access control, IP video, intrusion detection, fire alarms, and CCTV systems.
Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, and server virtualization.
Familiarity with LAN protocols, serial communications, and database connectivity.
Proficiency in security system design tools (AutoCAD, Visio, manufacturer-specific software).
Certifications & Tools
Highly desirable certifications: PSP, CPP, CCNA, or vendor-specific credentials (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone).
IT certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) preferred.
High PC literacy and project management skills.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Strong strategic thinking and customer engagement skills.
Ability to collaborate across teams and occasionally travel to customer sites.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,600- 113,400 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
