Job Purpose:
To manage and oversee commissioning activities for HVAC systems in compliance with project requirements, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute commissioning activities for HVAC systems in line with project schedules and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper system testing, balancing, and optimization to meet design specifications and performance standards.
- Conduct functional and performance testing of HVAC equipment and systems.
- Supervise and guide the commissioning team, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients to address technical challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including pre-commissioning checklists, test results, and final reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements.
- Identify and resolve system performance issues during commissioning.
- Ensure proper calibration and configuration of HVAC equipment.
- Validate system functionality and compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Provide training and operational handover to clients/end-users.
- Stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in HVAC commissioning.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 9-10 years of experience in HVAC project commissioning, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and energy efficiency principles.
