Compressor Engineering develops scroll compressors, as well as any future innovative technologies. We are looking for Engineer Leader to deliver High-side scroll compressor
design output to meet requirement from product engineering, and lead on solving problems affecting manufacturing production, product quality and cost.  
   
The manager will be expected to lead compressor design efforts, and to develop a new generation of scroll compressors for mass production focused on
competitive performance, while achieving lowest cost in cooperation with product engineers and other creatives to ensure deadlines of product launch are met.

How you will do it:
·       Work within the compressor engineering team in Chaina.
·       Manage budgets, allocated resources, and delegated tasks.
·       Schedule and manage development project following internal development process.
·       Ensure development project is on track and adjust schedules as required.
·       Understand technical requirements of HVAC application which uses compressor and work with product engineers to fine-tune them.
·       Work with teams to produce
compressor prototypes.
·       Specify technical challenge and support technical solution through all
communication with the concerned department.
·       Monitor
reporting procedures on a daily basis; keep track of regular work activities of
each employee and ensure all processes are executed by considering the fiscal
budgets.
·       Collect technology trend information
and develop technology roadmap.
·       Generate
significant IP in both design and application of new compressor products, as
well as novel manufacturing processes.
·       Commit to the elimination of unsafe
conditions, using appropriate personal protect equipment and complying with
pre-established rules (Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and
Quality), being aware of internal policies and procedures.

what we want

· 20+ years of experience in the design and manufacturing of compressors,
with the priority being in High-side scroll compressor design and
manufacturing.  Working knowledge of gas
dynamics, journal bearings, sound measurement and control, involute geometry,
dynamic compliance, lubrication, and test methods.  
· 5 years of direction experience leading the research, development, and
mass production introduction of innovative compressors in Engineer Manager
role.  These include analytical studies,
prototype development and evaluation, developing cost and performance metrics
compared to competitive products.
· Demonstrated ability to invent,
especially in the compressor field.
Desirable to have >10 patents, and experience with
writing and reading patent claims.  
· Extensive experience in analyzing data and reaching conclusions, based on both
analytical and empirical information.
· Excellent people skills with
ability to develop and maintain professional relationships across a matrix,
multi-cultural organization.
· Multitasking abilities.
· Degree in a relevant engineering
discipline is required.
· Strong capability with computers,
design and analysis software, and standard MS Office tools.
· Strong capability using a solid
model CAD tool.
