Job Overview

At Johnson Controls Inc. (Albany Plant), we build custom high-quality, commercial air handlers from sheet metal. We are hiring for Class 2 Fabricators on our 2nd shift team! Join our growing team and help build the systems that power buildings across the country.

What You Will Do

Primary Responsibilities

• • Ensure hardware and components match the Bill of Materials (BOM)
• • Install hardware and custom parts per HVAC specifications
• • Read and interpret blueprints and spec sheets to identify correct parts
• • Use hand tools (rivet gun, air gun, knife, welding tools) to complete assemblies
• • Operate bridge crane or hoist to move materials
• • Perform preventative maintenance and minor machine repairs
• • Follow production schedules and maintain safety standards

Job Requirements

• • High school diploma or equivalent
• • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and build plans preferred
• • Previous experience in an industrial or fabrication setting a plus
