Position Overview:
We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Support Engineer to join our Federal CoE team supporting application engineering and proposal development for National and Strategic Government Accounts. You’ll play a critical role in designing and configuring complex integrated systems including IP video surveillance, networked solutions, and advanced card access technologies. You’ll also lead head-end system configurations, upgrades, and integration with IT infrastructure. A solid grasp of general network topology and a passion for security innovation are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide expert technical guidance in configuring SoftwareHouse CCure or other enterprise-level access control systems, and IP Video Management Systems.
· Apply in-depth knowledge of HSPD-12 and FIPS 201-3 compliance standards.
· Collaborate with pre-sales engineering and sales teams to define scopes of work and determine equipment/labor estimates for sophisticated security deployments.
· Ensure optimal system configuration in alignment with customer requirements and organizational standards.
· Deliver high-value engineering solutions that maximize project success, performance, and profitability.
· Evaluate and test emerging security technologies in a lab environment.
· Stage and deploy head-end systems with full operating system installation, SQL setup, server redundancy, hardening, and network configuration.
· Conduct lab-based integrations and demonstrations to validate system performance.
· Deliver hands-on systems training for end users and field engineering teams.
· Partner with Field Engineering and Operations to ensure seamless, standards-based solution deployment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
· Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
· Preferred: Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP).
· Preferred: Manufacturer certifications (e.g., SoftwareHouse, LENEL, American Dynamics Victor, Genetec, Milestone).
Experience:
· 5+ years in technical support of electronic security, IT, or low voltage systems.
· Proven track record executing complex integrations, upgrades and troubleshooting across large-scale systems.
· Familiarity with UL2050, DMP, Bosch intrusion panels, and Federal Government system requirements including FIPS 201-2 and HSPD-12.
· Hands-on experience with access control systems (e.g., CCure 9000, LENEL Onguard, Identiv/Hirsch) and major VMS platforms (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, VICTOR, Exacqvision, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha).

· High level of PC and systems literacy.
