The Senior HVAC Design Engineer is a leading role within the Silent-Aire (SAE) APAC organization with three key areas of responsibility:
1. Acting as client facing technical ambassador on behalf of SAE to support project execution and issue resolution, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Managing the development of key design deliverables, in conjunction with, and aligning to, the approach of the wider SAE EMEA and APAC design team. Responsibly for key customer relationships prior to (and post) project award.
3. Facilitating the development of detailed product design by responding to technical queries in support of product production in APAC.
Key Elements
Mission
The Senior HVAC Design Engineer is responsible for customer facing technical discussions to successfully deliver on project milestones and metrics. They will work closely with the Director of Engineering, Design Teams and Director of Business Development to advance our technical personnel presence in the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Technical approval of design deliverables with key customers.
Issue resolution management and root cause analysis.
Building professional customer relationships.
Timely technical query responses to clarify scope and serve product manufacture.
Development of Silent-Aire APAC project design deliverables and Status A on Technical Submittals
Ensuring accurate technical peer reviews are conducted prior to product manufacture.
Positive customer feedback with respect to design and project execution.
Collaborating constructively with a diverse and global team.
Development of technical personnel for future expansion.
Collaboration with other departments within Silent-Aire and Johnson Controls to strengthen our team in APAC.
Mentoring of new personnel as required.
Qualification
An understanding of underlying product design principles.
Ability to travel up to 25% of time
Ability to negotiate, motivate and influence.
Strong problem resolution skills, effective and reflective listener
Proven communication skills within a multicultural environment.
