What you will do 

  • Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.  
  • Troubleshoots and resolves HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems. 
  • Maintain Metasys equipment to include servers, engines, controllers, and peripheral devices.

How you will do it 

  • Create and commission Metasys software. Performs complex commissioning and system diagnostics from server level to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation and reporting. 
  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. 
  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.  
  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.  
  • Documents change and provide information for as built documentation. 
  • Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. 
  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.  High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Successfully integrates 3rd party equipment into the system.

What we look for 

Required 

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude.  
  • Understanding of how systems report to each other and their protocols.
  • Computer skills required. 
  • Can function well in word and excel.
  • Attention to detail.   
  • Effective communication and listening skills.   
  •  Ability to work alone and with a team.
  • Previous building automation a plus
  • Willing to travel.

Preferred 

  • Experience in Tridium
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Control systems. 
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Familiar with programming
  • Good communication skills
