  • Participate in risk management, which includes the identification of failure modes, hazards and environmental aspects, their respective assessment and the definition and implementation of controls.
  • Participate in incident and nonconformity investigations as well as in the determination of the necessary corrective actions.
  • Active participation in plant programs such as SafeTrack observations, suggestion box, Employee Idea System, LPA and 6S audits.
  • Participate in the training program of the plant attending trainings as scheduled and, when required, acting as internal instructor.
  • Comply with the documented procedures, instructions, and standards of the Integrated Management System and, when required, participate in their review and improvement.
  • Identify and report any injury or potential injury and any potential environmental impact.
  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior
  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe and off standard conditions, when immediate correction is not possible report to direct manager or to the corresponding department.
  • Review and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity and apply the Stop Work policy when needed.
  • Perform every activity considering the requirements of the Integrated Management System to contribute to the achievement of its objectives and to fulfill the Quality Policy and the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.

  • Actively participate in the management of the Integrated Management System (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001)
  • Records and analyzes EHS data and prepare reports or graphs to identify performance trends, communicating results to operational leadership to implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Attend external compliance audits
  • Provide support to implement the Quality Policy and the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
  • Drive the risk management process providing support to the committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects for the Integrated Management System and completing the Job Safety Analysis or ergo assessment, when required.
  • Coordinate information and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Provide required support to EHS manager as needed
  • Ensure the compliance of Mexican Laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) in Environmental & Occupational, Health and Safety matters.
  • Manage the waste disposition process, ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations.
  • Provide support, when required, to complete hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments.
  • Provide support to identify the required safety signs in production areas.
  • Provide support, when required, to identify the required personal protective equipment in production areas.
  • Takes part in the safety committee, the environmental committee and participate as emergency response team leader.
  • Reviews and approves Operations Description Sheets (ODS), Rework instructions, change assessments and safe workplans.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and conducts inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment to monitors site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Ensures that the monitoring and measuring resources are calibrated and properly maintain as needed.
  • Manages the maintenance of any EHS equipment.
  • Participates as a guide of the High-Performance Teams.
  • Serves as main source of information on health and safety issues and environmental issues in the shop floor.

Que estamos buscando?

  • Education: Environmental & Safety engineering or similar degree.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as EHS Technician or similar position.
  • Knowledge: Risk management, Mexican laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) in Environmental & Occupational, Health and Safety matters, waste management and reduction techniques, job safety analysis, problem solving and incident investigation methods, environmental management systems, occupational health, and safety management systems, MS Office.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), teamwork, self-management, thinking skills (problem solving and decision making), proactivity, planning and organizing.
