Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Global Marketing IT team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in website requirement gathering, working across multiple teams, business units, and stakeholders within a large, global organization. You will play a critical role in supporting the development of digital solutions that enhance our global marketing strategies. If you have a strong background in requirements gathering for website projects and experience in a complex, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Website Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

  • Lead the collection and documentation of business requirements for global website development projects in alignment with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various global marketing teams to identify business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
  • Document website features, user journeys, workflows, and content requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives, user experience (UX) goals, and marketing strategies.
  • Create user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, and acceptance criteria for development teams, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.

-Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing, IT, and development teams to ensure business requirements are well-understood and executed.
  • Coordinate with global business stakeholders, marketing teams, and IT teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on project goals, timelines, and resources.
  • Facilitate regular communications and status updates between stakeholders, ensuring transparency and smooth execution of projects across different geographies

-Agile/Scrum Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Agile Scrum teams (development, QA, UX/UI) to ensure that the business requirements are clearly understood and implemented in each sprint cycle.
  • Lead backlog grooming sessions, ensuring that all user stories are well-defined and meet the necessary quality standards before being picked up by the development teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to monitor progress, address potential roadblocks, and ensure alignment with the marketing team's objectives.

-Website Optimization & User Experience:

  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure business requirements are aligned with the best user experience practices, making sure the website is intuitive and user-centric.
  • Analyze website performance data, working closely with analytics teams to identify improvement opportunities and to ensure the website is optimized for global audiences.
  • Prioritize user-centric features, keeping in mind both marketing goals and customer experience to drive conversion and engagement

-Testing, Validation, & Deployment Support:

  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final website meets business requirements and delivers the intended user experience.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and validating deliverables, ensuring they align with the documented requirements before deployment.
  • Support the deployment process, ensuring smooth release cycles and minimal disruptions to the user experience.

-Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:

  • Advocate for continuous improvement in business analysis practices, offering suggestions for streamlining requirement gathering and documentation processes.
  • Maintain a focus on driving efficiency within the marketing IT space, ensuring that processes are optimized for speed, scalability, and alignment with global marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on website development and digital marketing within large, global organizations.
  • Proven experience working within Global Marketing IT teams, specifically on website development, content management, and digital marketing projects.
  • Strong expertise in agile methodologies, with hands-on experience working in Scrum teams and with Agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Extensive experience gathering and documenting business requirements for complex website projects, including content management systems (CMS), e-commerce platforms, and marketing automation tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience, including working with stakeholders from global marketing teams, IT departments, scrum teams, and development teams.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies, website optimization (SEO, UX/UI), and the impact of these strategies on the overall user experience and business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize business needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSM, CSPO) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and their application to digital marketing strategies.
  • Multilingual proficiency (Spanish / English) and experience working with teams across different regions and time zones is a bonus.
