What you will do
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the administration and execution of NYS OGS security system contracts. The ideal candidate will be tasked with managing contract compliance, collaborating with state agencies, and ensuring the effective implementation of security projects in accordance with NYS OGS procurement guidelines.
How you will do it
Manage and administer NYS OGS contracts regarding security systems, ensuring adherence to state procurement policies and regulations.
Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of security system projects, including access control, surveillance, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
Act as the main liaison between NYS agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure contract fulfillment and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to guarantee projects are completed on time and within scope.
Prepare and submit contract documentation, reports, and modifications in line with OGS procurement requirements.
Ensure compliance with MWBE participation goals, prevailing wage requirements, and other regulatory mandates.
Coordinate with engineering, installation, and service teams to optimize project execution.
Identify potential risks, devise mitigation strategies, and effectively resolve project-related issues.
Stay informed about NYS OGS procurement processes, trends in the security industry, and regulatory updates.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management preferred or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration, project management, or procurement, ideally in security systems or government contracts.
Strong understanding of NYS OGS procurement processes or other state procurement experience, as well as public sector contracting and security system integration.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and procurement software.
Preferred
PMP certification or other relevant project management certifications is preferred.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $81,800 - 112,400 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
