We have a great opportunity for a Security Network Engineer to join our team in Lower Hutt!

What you will do:

  • This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and is aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and security of our clientele’s and additionally our own security system infrastructure and internal IT systems, particularly focusing on supporting our specialized clientele requirements in the field of electronic site security, data security and data management.

How you will do it: 

  • Scope and peer review new security solutions or upgrades of current security installations and associated networks

  • Commission, install, fault-find, and carry out software management tasks on security systems and associated networks

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinator to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within or under budget

  • Review project materials prior to and during key commit stages such as procurement, scheduling, pre-building, shipping, and project delivery to ensure all information and equipment meets or exceeds the minimum standards required for high quality delivery of all works

  • Coordinate with the Operations team with regards to facilitating suitable training pathways in respect of the above

  • Ensure all works are conducted to the highest health & safety and quality standards

  • Mentoring and training of technical resources

  • Preparation, review and audit of supporting documents, i.e. cable schedules, config sheets, as-builts for completed projects, and support for other team members to do the same

  • Review and audit of safety materials and mentor towards improvement where required

  • Work with Team Leaders to facilitate divisional resourcing when required

What we look for:

  • Certification and experience in major enterprise security platforms, including but not limited to Gallaghers, Bosch, Milestone, Geutebruck, Integriti, Salto, Jacques, etc.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, most importantly compliance

  • High level of expertise and certification in key product platforms

  • Strong organizational, administrative skills and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines 

  • High level of expertise in MS O365 suite of software including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Capable of working efficiently in a fast pace environment and under pressure

  • Ability to work effectively as a team leader and independently

  • Agility to work both in office and home environments
