  • Our Fabrication Welders earn $23.00 – $30.00 per hour (welding test will determine position and pay).

What you will do

The Fabrication Welder is responsible for welding carbon pressure vessels according to ASME code and/or welding/fabricating custom refrigeration equipment applying a proficiency in 6G welding techniques on stainless and carbon steel and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our products, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional solutions to our clients. Adhering to the company’s environmental health and safety requirements is critical to this position especially as typical duties of the position may impact your health and safety as well as your coworkers, the public and the environment.

How you will do it

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine welding requirements.

  • Select appropriate welding methods, tools, and materials based on project specifications and materials being used.

  • Set up welding equipment including selecting proper settings for voltage, current, and gas flow.

  • Operate welding machinery and tools to join, fabricate, and repair metal components and structures.

  • Perform various welding tasks with precision and attention to detail ensuring high-quality welds and strong structural integrity.

  • Monitor and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Inspect welded joints and structures to identify and address defects or imperfections.

  • Collaborate with Team Lead to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.

What we look for

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • MIG or Stick welding experience.

  • Ability to pass either the Stick 6G Test (weld in a 6G position- 6010 root 7018 double pass cap on a 6-inch pipe) OR the MIG 6G Test (open root solid wire on a 5” carbon steel schedule 80 pipe).

  • Willing and able to work 1st shift (4 10-Hour shifts, Monday – Thursday, 5:30AM – 4:00PM) as well as overtime when needed or when mandatory on Fridays. Overtime on Saturdays is optional.

  • Demonstrated positive work history as well as reliable and punctual attendance record.

  • Strong self-directed and proactive work ethic.

  • Physical stamina to stand, bend and lift heavy objects as required.

Preferred:

  • Pipe fitting experience.

  • Sub arc welding experience.
