This position will be based in San German, Puerto Rico
Pay Grade: 53
Performs Operations & Maintenance (O&M) electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment utilizing results oriented strategies to ensure continuing operation. Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1.
Maintains and performs minor installation of controls for some equipment.
2.
Performs logging operations using advanced instrumentation techniques.
3.
Represents the company to other trades, contractors and owners.
4.
Advises owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken. Suggests additional service/renovation requirements.
5.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
6.
Performs all duties of an O&M HVAC Specialist II and III.
7.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
An electrician certification will be needed.
Bachelor in Science or Technical degree in electricity, refrigeration, mechanics and/or industrial machinery. At least three years of experience in the job and/or performing related functions in the HVAC area and the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Incumbent must possess skills in how to manage employees and employees-related situations. Must have the ability to document in both English and Spanish, knowledge in the technical language of systems and understand parameters applications. Must have initiative, ability to perform team work, multiple tasks, and complete in a timely manner assigned tasks with minimum supervision. Employee must also have basic knowledge in the HVAC area equipments that includes commercial, industrial and residential applications. Must be familiarized with Environmental policies and laws.
