Responsible for the execution of the Branch Truck Based service business including profitability and productivity for assigned teams. Also responsible for customer satisfaction. Coaches Branch Service Team leadership (Service Foremen and Service Ops Agents) to develop and implement operations plans. Ensures overall operational excellence and service growth.

External Relationship:

The Service Manager is actively involved in the local service community, industry organizations, and face-to-face networking with technical schools, community colleges, and sub-contractors.

Internal Relationships:

Assists the Service Team leadership to effectively plan for future resource needs and assists in allocating resource needs to meet near term commitments.

Assists the Service Branch Manager in the preparation of the annual financial operating plan for the Branch service business.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1.
Supervises Service Team leadership on profitable execution of assigned service business. Ensures consistency of delivery systems. Monitors and tracks the service business plans.

2.
Works with Service Teams to insure that their account portfolios are achieving growth, proper profit levels, and customer satisfaction.

3.
Works with Service Team leadership to ensure proper manpower and skill levels for the successful and profitable execution of the service business.

4.
Recommends and supports staffing requirements for assigned service business. Serves as a communication channel to share the best practice strategies and results that will enable SSA and Regional vision.

5.
Drives operational review meetings, reviewing bids and estimates for accuracy.

6.
Recruits, hires, and retains service operational staff. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations, performance reviews and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate matrix functional manager. Ensures a consistent level of coaching, which includes monthly 'one-on-one(s)', operational and financial reviews.

7.
Escalates potential market opportunities to the attention of the appropriate Branch or Regional resource for strategic direction. Coordinates with Sales to insure all sales opportunities are supported including linkage to installation opportunities.

8.
Performs other duties as related to customer satisfaction, deployment of strategic initiatives to service teams, development and maintenance of service team business plans, and account management of service customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of eight years of progressive sales and/or operational experience in facility management services. Three years of experience in management role with responsibility for the productivity or development of others. Green Belt level in Six Sigma preferred. Must have the ability to interact effectively with employees and customers in difficult situations. Ability to travel about 30%.
