Under general supervision, this position scopes, designs and implements to completion, successful, cost effective workspace solutions. These duties relate to space planning, lab planning, furniture planning, and move coordination. Coordinates MAC projects with other resources such as JCI staff, contractors and client's staff to deploy projects. Typically manages move and relocation projects of less than $25,000. Projects in excess of $25,000 will typically be redirected to Facility Management or Project Management teams.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Communicates with customer to define relocation key success factors and continues to communicate with customer throughout the relocation process to develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for the project.
2. Works directly with client to strategically develop space assignments and plan for reorganizations utilizing their staffing forecasts. Represents JCI in a professional manner at all times and with all levels of the client's organization.
3. Coordinates all office moves and lab move projects. Maintains move schedules and plans as well as identifies risk factors for the customer. Ensures all move projects be completed to customer satisfaction and in compliance with the contract.
4. Develops project cost plan and upon the customer's and JCI management's approval, has full P&L responsibility for the relocation project and budget.
5. Manages and co-ordinates relocation contractors and procurement needs
6. Reports to JCI account management and client's management on project progress and formal project reviews.
7. Complies with client-planning standards to maintain space inventories and catalogs.
8. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
9. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
10. Performs all duties in a safe manner.
11. Performs other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
Associates degree in a related field such as interior design or certificate of completion from a certified trade drafting/CAD institution required and a minimum of five years of related space planning or moves coordination experience or a High School diploma and a total of eight years of related space planning or moves coordination experience. Able to demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD/CAM software. Must have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. Problem solving and innovative resolution ability and the ability to be a highly effective team member are required.
