Primary Purpose:
In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and leadership of new product development/launch programs.
Primary Duties:
* Managing and leading Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT) * Managing the change process to ensure timely implementation of product changes.
* Managing customer communication and relationship for project issues and commitments.
* Managing the program to the time-line, meeting key milestones, using critical path management.
* Managing the program scope and SOW, including quoting cost, time and product impact for customer changes
* Communicating program expectations to suppliers via statements of work and regular interface.
* Adhere to the JCI internal processes and management reviews.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's degree is required (Preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing. Accounting, or Business) * Master Degree is preferred
Technical Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 10 years of automotive work experience, including 3 years in Program Management and 3 years in Manufacturing or Engineering. * Experience with complex product assemblies (100+ Bill of Material parts preferred)
* Worked in a key position (Program, Engineering or Launch Manager) on a major Tier 1 Launch
* Good financial understanding
* Strong people management skills.
