PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Leads own work with limited supervision.
2. Identifies, recommends, and resolves issues and process improvement opportunities at account and business unit level following GAAP procedures.
3. Resource to accounting team members.
4. Maintains high ethical standards in financial reporting.
5. Prepares month end journal entries to support proper transaction recording.
6. Design & recommend internal control procedures to ensure proper transaction recording.
7. Develops and prepares complex monthly statements, trend reports and analyses.
8. Maintain audit trail of all activities involving the general ledger.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred. Six to nine years of accounting experience with at least four years of financial accounting experience. Expertise in MicroSoft Office Suite and financial & accounting systems such as Hyperion and Oracle as well as other automated general ledger and personal computing systems required. Ability and initiative to lead complex team projects that impact their accounts as well as basic projects that impact the business unit. Ability to effectively communicate and support GAAP accounting principles to all levels of management and internal and external auditors. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Ability to complete and resolve assigned complex account reconciliation, which see the highest transaction volume or deal with multi-currencies.
