Responsibility Level:

Under general direction plans, directs and controls the production activities in assigned areas of responsibility in order to maximize established goals for production, quality and cost.

Typical Duties:

1. Requisitions personnel to meet established production goals and, where applicable, interviews and selects qualified employees.

2. Instructs and trains assigned employees to perform work assignments efficiently and effectively to meet labor and material standards.

3. Assigns work to meet production schedules.

4. Maintains good employee relations and proper application of employee relations policies; familiarizes personnel with Company rules and regulations, administers policies, union agreements and disciplinary procedures.

5. Arranges for proper maintenance of machines and equipment. Recommends improvements in equipment and processes.

6. Assures compliance with safety and health regulations and good housekeeping practices within assigned areas, as well as compliance with all Quality Specifications.

7. Where appropriate, coordinates the functions over which assigned with those of other departments or shifts.

8. Interprets, initiates action on reports and prepares required reports.

9. Conducts meetings and is responsible for communicating policies and regulations to subordinate personnel.

10. Overtime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Operations or other related fields preferred.

3+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, shipping/distribution or relevant experience.

Must be able to work any assigned shift and required overtime.
